June was -0.8º below normal for the avg. temp and +1.46" surplus for the monthly rainfall 
and +3.09" surplus for the yearly rainfall.  Cold frontal passage occurred on 18th  
and produced a significant rainfall total of 1.49". The remainder of the month was 
dominated by the Bermuda High producing 14/30 days (47%) of rain (airmass thunderstorms 
in association with upper level disturbances/weakening stationary fronts) with the 
remaining 15 days consisting of dry conditions/w little to no significant rain 
(<=0.05" of rain). 

The US Drought Monitor was D1 - Moderate Drought for the southern 1/3 of Baker County 
& D0 - Abnormally Dry for northern 2/3 of Baker County for the 3rd and 10th.  For the 
remainder of the month (17th & 24th), it became D0 - Abormally Dry for the whole county. 
The long term drought indicator from the CPC analyzed NE Florida as D1 - Moderate Drought 
for the whole month of June.

The highest temp. occurred on the 1st @ 97.2°F.  The lowest temp was 64.4°F on the 26th  
The highest peak wind of 40 mph occurred on the 30th during a thunderstorm.  June
featured 2 or more days/w peak winds 30 mph+ (35,40); 35 mph on the 28th.  This last occurred 
2 yrs ago in June 2006.
