The drought of 2006-07 continues into November entering its 21th month/w Nov. cooler and
and drier than normal. It was -2.4º above normal for the avg. temp and -1.60" deficit for
the month and +5.38" surplus for the year but there is still a -3.60" deficit from last yr.
Cold frontal passage was dry with only 3 days recording measureable rain with these fronts
on 15th, 22nd and 27th. Most of the month was dominated by high pressure, especially the
first 14 days.
US Drought Monitor persisted as None through the entire month. However, the long term drought
indicator from the CPC analyzed NE Florida as D1 - Moderate Drought at the end of the month
(24 Nov).
The highest temp. occurred on the 26th @ 80.3°F. The lowest temp was 28.6°F on the 17th.
The highest peak wind of 40 mph occurred during cold frontal passage on the 15th.
