The drought of 2006-07 continues into its 13th month/w March being slightly warmer and drier
than normal. It was +0.8º above normal for the avg. temp and -3.09" deficit for the month
and -3.24" deficit for the year. 75% of the rainfall for the month occurred on the 2nd
when 0.92" occurred. The rest of the 0.3" of rain was spread out sporadically through
the month, with 0.13" occurring on the 16th. The drought index became worse in the eastern
corner of the county (where the weather station is located) becoming D1 - Moderate Drought
again on 3/6 and continuing through the end of the month. The western 2/3s of the county
remained at D0 - Abnormally Dry through March.
