The rainfall was above normal for the year for the 2nd straight year, althought it was 
below normal by late spring and received too much rain during the rainy seasons.  
Four Hurricanes in a span of 6-8 weeks visited the area: Charley in August & Frances, 
Ivan (as a Gale Low) and Jeanne in Sept.  Records where set for hi wind speeds: 
peak wind of 47 in Frances then broke by Jeanne with 55 and set the highest 1-min 
avg of 30.  Jeanne also set the 24 hr record for rainfall at 5.48" of rain. The 
lowest Sea Level Pressure was set during Jeanne @ 29.288". The avg. temp was slighly 
below normal and for the 2nd straight summer, it failed to reach 100ºF, maxing out at 
99ºF in May.
