Sept. was slightly below normal for temps and above normal for rainfall. Much of the month
was dominated by the tropics. Two hurricanes (Frances & Jeanne) during a 3 week span, caused
wind damage and flooding rains. 9.35" of rain occured during Frances & 5.84 during Jeanne.
The peak wind during Frances was 47 mph & 55 mph during Jeanne. A Nor'easter occured in the
middle of the month between the 2 hurricanes and caused a peak wind
of 30 mph.
